Under the Gate

This is the 3rd shot I am posting from Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC). It was shot on the same course as my previous 2 posts and was actually my very first full frame 14mm shot with my new D3s. Its also the only colour one I will be posting from DIFC. Normally I prefer architectural shots to be in black & white, however I really loved the colours in the glass in this one and felt it made the shot more interesting. My next post will also be from under the gate but looking straight through it if you're interested.

This is an 8 exposure HDR taken under the Gate at DIFC which was processed in Photomatix Pro. In the original exposure of this shot the sky is blue and the gate is black to very dark blue with almost no detail visible. However the HDR process enables you create a realistic image portraying the scene as your eye could see it, but your expensive camera could not...
